Do my comments mean I'm pandering to whingers?

Where you will find the Debt Man:

Some of you want me to stop encouraging the whingers about SMSFs. I have been deluged with emails about why super contributions had dropped so heavily during 2009-10, following my blog entry. The emails predominantly list the cut in the concessional contribution limits. A vocal minority agree with the Labor Government’s reduction in the concessional contributions limits, even though it is directly impacting on their finances.

According to this group, I have been pandering to a generation of whingers. Read my blog - link at left.

What readers are saying about Debt Man Walking

  1. “I have been the one who was excited after reading your book and really driven to do something. As often happens in couples, my husband was less than enthused with my ramblings about “this really cool book”. Anyway, I glued your book into his hand this morning and INSISTED that he start reading the bloody thing. You might be pleased to know that he called at 8.30am this morning – he had read the first 40 pages on the train and was quoting your book back to me ad nauseum – I was told in no uncertain terms that we need to put our goals on a bit of paper and stick them on the fridge ‘as suggested in the book’! Apparently you are really good at your job!”

  2. Just finished reading your book - absolutely fantastic!! Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane, and for showing us the way towards Prosperity Place. Well structured and well written, very easy to read. Thank you!

  3. Loved the book. Totally changed how I look at investing.

  4. Hi Bruce,

    Great book.

I have read a number of financial books over the last few years and "Debt Man" has helped me tie everything together.

I now have a better understanding of debt and I valued your explanation of good, OK and bad debt. This book is a must read for anyone wanting to become smarter with their money - don't delay in either investing or reading "Debt Man."

  5. Thanks for a great read Bruce! Finally someone has bit of decent advice for those us with time on our side. With all the doom and gloom getting around at the moment it's refreshing to hear a bit of contructive advice on borrowing for investment.....And it's good for a laugh.

  6. Great job Bruce - Debt Man Walking consolidates all the stuff I knew I didn't know (and surprised me with the stuff I didn't know I didn't know) into a nicely digestible format, and offers what seem to be common sense and achievable strategies and goals to shoot for.

  7. I just finished your book and found it very interesting and educational. Overall a great read !

  8. Wow, what a read...I agree, who would have thought that all those "wasted" hours playing Monopoly was in fact an intense training session for later life. Love the book, couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one and to put some of this into action. (Don't suppose you could recommend a good advisor?) Big ups to you, from where I stand "on the outside", it makes "no sense" not to enter into "conversations" about getting off the "merry go round" so that we don't get to the end "home and broken hearted". Finally, someone managed some Cold Chisel - gen x inspirations. Congratulations mate.

  9. I couldn't put this book down. Great timing for this investment strategy. I'm keen to put it into effect.
